    Verdict

Five previous course and distance winners face the starter in this and all can be given a chance of sorts. Caledonia Laird didn't get much of a run here last time but Saint Helena was beaten by Marcano on identical terms last month in a race in which Lord Of The Storm finished third. LADY BAYSIDE clearly needed the run when last behind Saint Helena on her reappearance as she's won twice since at Chepstow. She'll handle conditions better than most and can come out on top this evening, though the returning Seven Clans should be up to winning a low grade handicap or two this year and Gannicus may find this a bit easier than recent tasks.
