In depth

Verdict

A poor field with only four runners and this could be a penalty kick for the likely favourite Fancy Day. Barry Hills has his team in fine form at present and Fancy Day ran with credit on his racecourse debut at Leicester when third of seven. He ran as if green, dwelling at the start and doing all his best work late on. With that experience under his belt he looks set to improve and gets a strong vote. Figaro Flyer will pose as the biggest danger but he is flattered by his third position on his only start as it was only a six runner race and he was beaten ten lengths so will need to improve considerably to win here. Musical Guest looks the stable second string and Lucky Celts comes from a yard who do not generally train winners first time out. So for the winner we return to Fancy Day.
