Nothing makes great appeal in this lowly finale, but GUN FOR SALE was second last time out, and could be the one to get the better of poor rivals, including Big Boom and Wunder Strike. These types are racing at this level for a reason though, but if able to repeat the form shown when runner up in a Kempton handicap, Peter Makin's gelding could take all the beating. He's amongst the lowest rated in the race, and has a beneficial draw. Wunder Strike won on debut for new connections on his penultimate outing over this trip, and then met problems in running next time out to finish just outside the frame. Big Boom ran encouragingly after being well supported first time out for Mickey Quinn after switching yards and he's entitled to improve for that following a previous lengthy lay-off. The draw may be against him though. There are negatives about most of these which put us off lumping on, but Gun For Sale would be our preference in a poor looking field.
