It's no surprise that Richard Hughes has chosen the consistent AUTHORITARIAN ahead of the first-time-blinkered Golden Jubilee. Richard Hannon's filly has yet to win a bad race over the C&D, winning in August, and is probably still on a decent mark against modest opposition. Lovage could run her close, however, as she's been thereabouts in all three starts this year while Belle Park won over 1m2f here in August before finishing second over this trip at Chepstow, though is still creeping up the weights. Corrib has also gone well here in the past but Valley Queen never seems to run two races alike.
