Adobe is 3lbs lower than when winning this race 12 months ago and looks to be coming into form again now so gets the vote to follow up with Marnie and Answered Promise rated the main dangers. John Akehurst's stable is beginning to come into form now and his representative Marnie comes here with an obvious chance having finished just a neck behind the selection over course and distance last time. They meet on the same terms today so there should not be a great deal between the two again. Topweight Sheriff's Deputy has claims on his best form but has disappointed in two starts this term and needs to improve, while Adalar has been given a chance by the handicapper and could be interesting dropping back in trip. More solid claims are held by Ian Wood's Answered Promise, who has run with credit under similar conditions of late and is entitled to be thereabouts again but Adobe has plenty going for him and he gets the vote.
