In depth

Verdict

Culzean has been in good form in big-field handicaps this season without getting the results he deserves. While he could possibly do with an ease in the handicap in order to get his head in front this represents a good opportunity with a highly promising seven pound claimer booked to ride. Great News had been out of form but after slipping down in the weights put up a much improved performance at Beverley last time out for today's pilot and has to be respected here. Lycian has returned to something like his best with two narrow defeats on his last couple of starts while Chief Cashier too seems to be hitting form right now. Clipperton though may be the one to beat and comes here in great heart following a fast-ground Salisbury win.
