In depth

Verdict

Nicole Nordblad and Alice Haynes are two young apprentices making a name for themselves at present and the former can add to her burgeoning reputation with victory aboard OSTENTATION. The partnership quickened up nicely to land a modest Brighton handicap this month and can go in again with no penalty incurred for that apprentice race success. Alice Haynes partners James Pollard for the Llewellyn team and the gelding should be all the better for his first run of the year on the level at Newbury last month. He's been in fair form over timber and fitness is assured. Edgeworth unseated at the start of that Newbury contest but is otherwise consistent and reliable and makes each-way appeal. Signora Frasi completes the shortlist.
