In depth

Verdict

A competitive contest proceedings underway with many in form rivals in opposition including Blue Hawk, Vulcan Lane and Day Du Roy and we will take a chance on Vulcan Lane. The gelding from the Richard Guest yard was a good second behind Summer Bounty last time out and off the same mark here he will be hard to beat with conditions in his favour. Blue Hawk rates the main danger he won well last time out when defeating Red Flyer but that form has since been let down and he will find this harder under his penalty. Day Du Roy is also, worthy of respect he was a good second behind Cumbrian Knight a couple of runs ago but he has since disappointed. Of the remainder Secret's Out and Gilfoot Breeze are from yards in form and are worth noting in the market but we are happy to stick with Vulcan Lane.
