In depth

Verdict

It was fast going when MAHLER LAD won at Towcester last year and Donald McCain’s charge can effectively race off a lower mark on his reappearance if a conditional’s allowance is taken into account. He gets a speculative vote. Angels Antics was third here last time without threatening and Chase The Wind disappointed at Carlisle last month having placed in both earlier starts this year. Lowanbehold went close at Musselburgh before well beaten at Kelso and Bob Ford failed to complete when sent off favourite at Haydock on his latest start.
