A terribly open handicap here but GLENGARRA did it well enough last time to suggest that a 7lb penalty may not be enough to stop further success. David Gandolfo's 12-year-old has a wealth of experience and he put that to good use when a Southwell winner last time out. A 7lb penalty pushes him up to 105, but he is still fairly treated on his old form and is the token selection with AP McCoy booked for the ride. Ours has been out of form so far in 2009 but is well-handicapped as a result, whilst Sula's Legend on the other hand looks to be handicapped up to the hilt. Glimmer Of Light had a very profitable May with two facile wins but as a result he was hammered by the handicapper and he was also pulled up last time out, so a bigger threat may be Northern Quest whose two runs behind Trafalgar Man at Hexham read fairly well. Pagan Sword is sliding down the weights and he tries cheek-pieces, Folie A Deux won well here last time despite idling when hitting the front, whilst Koh Samui is bred for fences and makes his chasing bow this evening. Another testing handicap, but narrow preference is for Glengarra.
