In depth

Verdict

Dropped back in trip here Nez Rouge can add to the tally of Nigel Twiston-Davies and get the better of Pistolet Dove and King Cyrus. Nez Rouge ran well for a long way at Market Rasen last time and was one paced up the straight when the tap was turned on, after looking a threat. This 2m 1f looks ideal for him, he acts on decent ground and his yard could not be in better form, so he is taken to score. Pistolet Drive will be popular on debut after winning a bumper in August and Philip Hobbs' gelding has to be given respect. King Cyrus was just touched off by Andijan here last month and a repeat can see him very competitive. Whiteoak has won a bumper and is one to keep an eye on in the market, along with McGarry's Lane, but Nez Rouge is our suggestion.
