Verdict

KELLS CASTLE may be able to follow up his recent success by getting the better of Tubber Gael Holly and Phoenix Des Mottes amongst others. Gordon Elliott is well known for his successful raids across the Irish Sea and Kells Castle landed a hard-fought success at Newton Abbot last month. The subsequent rise in the weights means that he's got little in hand but he's in form, stays well and has the right man on board. Tubber Gael Holly also represents an Irish trainer who has enjoyed plenty of success in recent months and she looks certain to appreciate the faster ground that currently prevails and could leave her recent efforts behind as a result. Phoenix Des Mottes disappointed over hurdles last month but he had been progressing well prior to that and it would be no surprise to see him give a good account on his chase bow. Mandingo Chief is capable if his jumping holds up, Ripalong Lad is one from one over fences and has possibilities but this is tougher whilst Celebrity Call hasn't had many opportunities for this yard and is worth a second look but preference is for Kells Castle.
