In depth

Verdict

Crossbow Creek, Ellerslie Tom and In Media Res are three against the field in another tough race and the nomination is given to Crossbow Creek. The selection was a top class chaser at his best and won well over hurdles last time out when beating Cuan Na Grai and salthough having a penalty for thsat win he has won off a higher mark in the past and he is taken to win again. Ellerslie Tom has been in good form in novice company of late notably when beating La Dolfina last time but this looks tougher and he will need to improve again to win this. In Media Res uis another that could go well on his latest third behind Termoin he hails from a shrewd yard and should be noted in the market but he may just need the run after a 189 day abscence. Of the remainder Spectrometer has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but in a race where few can be ruled out for the winner we return to Crossbow Creek.
