In depth

Verdict

It should pay to concentrate on the top of the handicap here, with Jan's Dream taken to come out best ahead of Lord Brex and Lonesome Dealer. Paul Webber's charge has not had a great deal of racing of late considering his age and has been brought along steadily this term for what looks to be a fast ground summer campaign. He gets 5lbs from Lord Brex and that should sway things in his favour against the topweight. Lonesome Dealer has had his problems but Brendan Powell is persisting with him in the hope that he can recapture the form he showed over hurdles, and with only Satanas of the rest racing in the handicap proper, he might make the frame.
