Verdict

SHANTALUZE won an Irish point last October followed by a bumper victory at Kelso. He came here for his debut over timber and was left clear for a very easy victory. Flash The Steel, another bumper winner, also came here for his hurdling debut and did well to chase home The Some Dance Kid. Lookforarainbow may need further as he appeared to find this trip too short when last seen at Uttoxeter in May while Not Normal only got as far as the first on his hurdling debut at Chepstow. The Butcher Said did well in bumpers and pulled too hard on his hurdling bow at Leicester a year ago while Arthur Mac attracted good support on his reappearance at Hexham but didn't appear to stay 2m4f, though he may just have needed the run after a long break.
