Verdict

SPICK AND SPAN has found one too good over these hurdles in both starts this year and gets another chance in this. Ballybaun Star was no match for the winner at Kilbeggan but finished clear of the rest and can figure again while Barbaha Queen made a promising hurdling debut when runner-up at Clonmel and steps up in trip. Monty Don and Canteeny Benny are both worth noting hurdling for the first time.
