Few of these arrive in any kind of form though the four-year-old ZOFFALEE, a winner on the Flat, looks capable of better. A close second at Wexford, he followed that with a very good run over slightly further on this track earlier this month and is only 1lb higher. Alfred Wegener gained a shock victory at Limerick in July but struggled badly from 8lb higher on his next two starts, though a recent run on the Flat will have blown the cobwebs away. Winning bumper Derby De Thaix has never scored in 16 starts over jumps but Divin Desir would have to be respected if getting a run from his reserve spot as he was in the lead at this trip before finishing a close fourth over 2m4f at Tipperary.
