In depth

Verdict

ABOLITIONIST makes a very quick reappearance after failing to catch Presenting Beara at Kilbeggan on Friday. He's been in good form on quick ground and is taken to go one better despite a big weight. It's a very long time since Hans Crescent won a race but he's gradually dropping to a fair mark and is no forlorn hope under his very competent claimer. Take A Shot is back on the same mark as when last successful though he's mainly raced on ground with plenty of give so could do with further rain. Winning point-to-pointer Survival will have found 2m3f on the short side at Clonmel but still managed to beat Pat Garrett and a 6lb hike shouldn't prevent another good run. Vicalus ran her best race over fences at Roscommon earlier this month and can make her presence felt from her lowly spot in the handicap.
