In depth

Verdict

The Last Marju showed his first sign of ability on his handicap debut at Roscommon but has plenty of weight for what he's achieved. Masterchippy has only raced on fast ground or Polytrack so it remains to be seen how he handles this surface, a remark that also applies to Papagayo, who started a short-priced favourite on this sort of ground at Gowran in May but ran poorly. Selskar Abbey gained his only success on very quick going at Leopardstown last month and hasn't impressed when tackling softer going so everything points to the chances of THE COMPELLER. Ken Condon's charge has been making gradual progress and was staying on very strongly over 1m2f on soft ground at Killarney last week so this trip and going should prove ideal.
