In depth

Verdict

This looks slightly stronger than the first division with CHAPTER ELEVEN and Western Island, who fought out the finish of a similar event over the C&D last month, likely to be involved again. Both have been beaten subsequently but the former will have found 2m7f too far at Downpatrick and John Carr's mare can confirm the placings and take this. Riotman finished in front of Western Island at Sligo last time when making his handicap debut and looks a threat despite his big weight. On The Button could prove the main threat as he scored from just 1lb higher last season and has been mainly operating over fences subsequently.
