Verdict

Brogine won this a year ago from a 1lb lower mark, one of three victories on the course, though this looks a tough renewal. Whatucallher won over the trip at Punchestown before a fine run over 2m4f at Killarney while Royal Aide gained a surprise victory over slightly shorter at Kilbeggan and a 5lb rise looks manageable. Oscer Romero steps up in trip after a very impressive victory over 2m4f here though has gone up 11lb while Fill The Tank is up 6lb for scoring at Roscommon last week, where he looked to have a bit in hand. Silver Planeur had been showing little before landing a Sligo handicap by 16 lengths for which she's 10lb higher. WAITNSEE (NAP) ran a superb race when narrowly beaten in the Midlands National at Kilbeggan in June and, if transferring that form to hurdles off 21lb lower, would be the one to beat.
