Verdict

Mick Hourigan won this last year and can repeat the process with RUN WITH THE WIND. Runner-up in two decent maidens in the autumn, he's been in good form on the Flat and won a Leopardstown handicap in March. Distant Memories won a Listed contest on the Flat at Pontefract last summer and made a winning debut over timber at Limerick. He didn't run at all badly in the Supreme Novices' at Cheltenham and will find this much less demanding. Primroseandblue battled on gamely to repel Saint Gervais at Clonmel but Touch Back has been slightly disappointing after beating Marasonnien at Leopardstown in December. Uncle Tom Cobley is a consistent but luckless chaser and though Wilde Wit Pleasure is useful on his day, his strike-rate of 1-26 is off-putting.
