Verdict

COLLATERAL DAMAGE is having a great season and it can further improve here with a win over Cool Baranca and Osteopathic Remedy. Tim Easterby has his horses in fair form at the moment and this dependable son of Orpen comes here after four wins since August. Southwell last time may have not been ideal but this horse acts on any ground and the return to the track will suit this dual course winner. Faithful Ruler also knows how to win here; he is another who likes a bit of cut in the ground although he has a few lengths to find on the selection on their latest clash. Osteopathic Remedy continues to run well without success, Silver Rime should appreciate the return to a mile, whilst Cool Baranca is an unexposed filly who has a 10lb higher mark now reassessed for handicaps after an easy claiming win last time out. An open race, but preference is for Collateral Damage.
