Verdict

Set The Trend finished a length in front of Beacon Lodge when fourth over 7f at Musselburgh last Saturday but has won over this longer trip. Norse Blues beat Trail Blaze in the Thirsk Hunt Cup before running a shocker at Sandown and the latter may well reverse running on only his second start of the season. STRICTLY SILVER won a competitive handicap at Wolverhampton before finishing a respectable eighth in the Lincoln and looks to be facing an easier task in this. Alan Bailey's charge gets the vote ahead of veteran handicappers Osteopathic Remedy and Dubai Dynamo, who are closely matched on recent form at Ripon and both still capable on their day.
