In depth

Verdict

This is only a Class 4 handicap but it still looks too tough for Viking Rebel and Arc Warrior. No Through Road would probably have completed a five-timer at Wetherby before Christmas had he not fallen at the last. But he's gone up another 5lb since and won't have things all his own way here. Chavoy stayed on strongly to win at Newcastle at the start of the month but was beaten 17 lengths by Sharney Sike at Hexham earlier and is only 5lb better off. HARRY THE LEMMON was probably a bit flattered by his proximity to Gold Ingot at Newcastle but James Ewart will have been delighted with that run as his charge has had plenty of problems. A little improvement would see him in the firing-line here with a clear round but Lady Of Verona is proving very hard to predict.
