Verdict

This marks a slight ease in grade for Love Angel, whom time may tell, may have faced a stiff test on his debut at Newmarket, and he is faced to be capable of holding Master Cobbler and Madame Topflight, who closely matched on what they have shown so far. Compton Classic looks the pick of the three newcomers in the search for value and, as a half-brother to handful of juvenile winners, it can be assumed that it will not be long before he is making an impact when he has some experience behind. The son of Compton Place is in the right hands to be found a nice little race in the north and he is definitely one to bear in mind with an eye to the future. Bespoke will also be a popular choice as he hails from the shrewdest of them all in Sir Mark Prescott. However, he is unlikely to be sent off at the most attractive odds for a debutante and we prefer to look elsewhere for a price. Which leaves Love Angel appeals as the one to be on today as his Newmarket run is the best piece of form on offer up to date. The Woodman colt raced a little freely on that occasion and was there for the taking when a potentially useful type from David Loder's camp swooped late to conquer. However, that effort will have taught him a lot and Love Angel is expected to be a different proposition today.
