Verdict

Shadrack is holding his form well but could only muster the one pace when third to Mr Syntax at Kelso last time and may struggle to give 12lb to the progressive KAI BROON. Lucinda Russell's five-year-old was an easy winner at the same track earlier this month and, as that was only his second start over fences, should find the necessary improvement to land this. Red Tanber was completely outclassed at Cheltenham last month and pulled up. He also seems better over 2m4f nowadays while this trip also looks on the sharp side for Tiptoeaway and Vosges may need some help from the handicapper if he's going to get his head in front.
