In depth

Verdict

Barkston Ash carries a penalty for last week's win at Redcar but has done all his winning over 6f so far. So has DELORES ROCKET, but she was winning off an 11lb higher mark last year and gets her preferred cut in the ground here for the first time this season. Kevin Ryan's filly gets the tentative vote as both Strong Man and Ted's Brother have found life tough off higher marks since scoring earlier in the year and it was back in 2011 when Spes Nostra won a maiden race over track and trip. Harbour Captain scored twice over a mile before floundering in soft ground at Ffos Las last month.
