        Verdict

        After a couple of months off, Chookie Dunedin didn’t show much on his return to action at Thirsk. Stablemates Gometra Ginty and Surprise Picture also look worth opposing with the former behind Abduction at Catterick in July and Judgement Call at Carlisle two runs ago and the latter better over 6f nowadays. Star Shield last ran over 7f at this meeting 12 months ago when behind Cassy O. BRAZEN BOLT (NAP) is in good heart and had a little up his sleeve when successful at Epsom last month so may be capable of defying a 2lb rise with the maiden Star Zinc up the same amount for finishing second in a lower grade at Haydock.
