A whole host in this massive field turn up with claims, not least Amenable, who did extremely well to give weight and a beating to all his rivals at Ripon last time, but a 5lb rise and softer ground might find him out and we will take a pot shot with MASTERSHIP. John Quinn's six-year-old was only beaten two lengths in last season's Silver Cup from a mark 8lb higher than today's. He has won on good to soft ground, a further plus, and a couple of recent runs at least give him some race fitness while contributing to that drop in the weights. Medici Time is better over 5f, albeit respected, while Paul Hanagan will want a real test over this trip for 7f specialist Jeannie Galloway. Baldemar, Cheveton and The Nifty Fox are others who all need serious consideration, though Mastership may chart a winning course.
