In depth

Verdict

Stuart Williams has been holding on to the improving Strangely Brown and the versatile gelding is fancied to land his third successive victory of the season; possibly at the main expense of Late Opposition. That said, Toni Alcala does not know how to run a bad race and, like Kristensen, will ensure that all his rivals know that they have been in a race. The same can be said of Master Wells, who proved his well being when winning at Thirsk last month. However, this is much tougher and he may find at least one too good in this better grade. None more so than Strangely Brown, who has improved with each run since stepped up in trip and has been found an excellent opportunity to land his hat-trick. Late Opposition ran Sendintank to a length and a quarter when he last raced and will be a big threat if he puts in a similar effort over a trip that we can only assume that he will stay over at this stage.
