        Verdict

        College Maid, Capetown Girl and Tancred Miss look to be the principles in this handicap and the nomination is given to College Maid. The selection ran well in an amateur riders' handicap at Hamilton last time behind Desert Arc, and now that she has struck some kind of form she looks the one to be on. Capetown Girl was a little disappointing in a better race than this last time at Doncaster but is capable of better than that. However, she often flatters to deceive and the percentage call is to oppose her even though she has the ability to go well. Tancred Miss was a surprise winner at Southwell last time and looks to be improving, but she has a penalty for that win and with that in mind she may just find one too good. Of the remainder, Tancred Arms is a course and distance winner so has to be respected, but College Maid looks to be finding her form and as such she is taken to score.
