In depth

Verdict

The Abbots Habit can open his account at the expense of Springvic and Roc Tredudon. The Abbots Habit was beaten a length by Springvic when they met at Wetherby last month but now meets that rival on 7lb better terms for the length that separated them. He has far more scope than that rival, and is taken to improve enough to turn the tables with conditions to suit. Roc Tredudon was well fancied for his Hexham debut but could only finish third. He is sure to have been well schooled but is perhaps best watched on his timber debut, while Millenium Hall has a penalty to carry and will be susceptible to the less exposed types. The Abbots Habit is related to Welsh National winner Jocks Cross on the dam's side, and will no doubt have a bright future himself over fences one day, but in the meantime he can pay to follow here.
