In depth

Verdict

Alexandrakollontai won over 6f on this card last year and has improved since. But today's trip in soft ground will stretch his stamina and OUR BOY JACK (NAP) is preferred. The latter was only beaten a head at Thirsk the last time he encountered soft going so Richard Fahey's charge gets the nod. Evanescent has a chance on form but would prefer a faster surface and Trixie Malone looks a bigger threat. Bachotheque is upped in class off a 6lb higher mark for his course and distance victory and Ted's Brother struggled in this grade last time.
