In depth

Verdict

Emma Beag won a similarly-moderate contest over track and trip on her reappearance but a 9lb hike in the ratings looks harsh. Old-timer Another Mattie, who’s been lightly campaigned this season, often runs well around here and can’t be ignored but The Horsechesnut hasn’t run over hurdles for four years and has changed stables. CHANCEANOTHERFIVE was running over 3m for the first time at Musselburgh when having his first outing for new connections. He needs to brush up his jumping but blinkers may help in that respect and he could be well handicapped.
