    Verdict

Quest Of Colour has only had five career starts and came good last summer, winning at Redcar and Hamilton. She's unlikely to fail through lack of fitness while Royal Regent should strip fitter for a run at Doncaster and beat the luckless Sir Chauvelin easily over 1m here in the autumn. Clear Spell is another entitled to improve for a recent outing but Nonchalant needs some help from the handicapper. STRONG STEPS failed to quicken when fifth at Sandown on his first run on Turf so the extra yardage should help. He'd won nicely at Chelmsford earlier and can get back on track, though last week's Wolverhampton second Warfare is equally at home on this surface.
