Verdict

HANGARD was always travelling nicely when scoring on soft ground here in October and though penalised it will take a good performance to prevent him completing a double. Biennial has only shown moderate form in Ireland so one of the newcomers may prove more of a threat. Idee De Garde has a cracking pedigree for jumping while Thepensionfund has a couple of winning relatives and Drenek is out of a winning chaser. The market should prove the best guide to the prospects of the remainder.
