In depth

Formwatch

Thari (USA) Disappointed over 15f last time in good to soft; step back in trip will help but soft ground will not.

Thundering Surf Some excellent recent efforts and has run well on soft in the past; not without a chance.

Dream With Me (FR) Good effort last time out but trainer is in no sort of form and is easily avoided here.

Hannibal Lad Won valuable race at Haydock earlier in the season but has been off the boil of late; chance if coming back to form.

Adelphi Theatre (USA) Improved effort in defeat last time out; yet to race on a soft surface but still has a good chance.

Mana d'Argent (IRE) Came back to some sort of form last time out at Ayr following some disappointing runs; needs to improve again and will appreciate this step down in trip.

Saltrio Has improved all season and although questions to answer about trip and ground should run well.

Ahraar (USA) Another whose best effort came in defeat last time at Doncaster in truly run race; trainer in form and looks the one to beat.

Zibeline (IRE) Below par effort last time at Newbury and just may have gone over the top for the season.

Harlequin Has improved with every run and seemed to handle soft ground last season; will be involved in the shake-up.

Royal Minstrel (IRE) Improving all the time and has good chance at these weights although yet to show he appreciates a soft surface.

Jumaireyah Should go close if improving again but may have to settle for a place.

Dramatic Quest Lightly-raced and capable on his day but disappointed last time at Doncaster and others preferred.

Bawsian Goes on any surface and over a variety of distances; trainer does not mess around when coming south and looks a likely type today.

Serengeti Bride (USA) Gets better and better with each run but will need to improve again to go close here.

Jasmick (IRE) Some good efforts this term but could just be a couple of pounds below the level required.
