Verdict

Alan King has won the last three renewals but doesn't have a runner this year. Albahar finished ahead of debutant Hoist The Colours when third at Stratford but has been beaten since at Kempton. It's possible the longer trip will bring about some improvement but VINTAGE VINNIE is still preferred. He was second over this trip at Doncaster before failing to last home over further on heavy going at Exeter. Special Agent will have learned plenty from his second at Chepstow and looks the danger, though Paddy The Deejay will have found 2m too short at Sandown. Ravenous might need this but could be interesting when going handicapping.
