Royal Millennium makes a quick re-appearance after turning in a sound effort at Goodwood behind Firebreak on Thurday. The Handicapper would surely have set him more too do had he that effort to go on. Mister Cosmi, the winner of a listed event in Gemany, had previously shown useful form over course and distance when a close up fourth in the Tote International Stakes, just a length behind Royal Millennium. He can meet his rival on 11lbs better terms in this and he looks the one to beat. One More Round is a classy performer, but the penalty he picked up for winning a handicap earlier in the month, looks to have ruled him out in this, while Surprise Encounter, the winner of The Royal Hunt Cup last year, will love this fast ground and is worthy of respect, especially now his stable is in better form. Others to warrant consideration include Inchdura, Kool, who will be better suited by this trip, having set a suicidal gallop over a mile last time and Mr Mahoose, who has shown on more than one occasion that he has a big race in him.
