In depth

Formwatch

Tillerman Won this event twelve months ago off 7lb lower mark; loves fast ground and has acquitted himself well in pattern company both starts this term; a class performer who will be hard to beat.

Misraah (IRE) Fulfilling early promise following gelding operation; best recent form over shorter but stays this trip well and is nicely treated at weights; has a big chance.

Now Look Here Impressive Doncaster Listed winner on Lincoln day and not disgraced since but would have preferred more cut in ground.

Nice One Clare (IRE) Hatched long-term plan to land Wokingham penultimate and now 8lb higher; not disgraced in Pattern company latest; boasts fine turn of foot and trip no problem (has won three times over 7f); one for the shortlist.

Indian Spark Won valuable Gosforth Park sprint handicap latest but now 7lb higher and unproven over this trip.

Doctor Spin (IRE) Has been fairly consistent but looks in the handicapper's grip.

Blue Mountain Creditable fifth in Royal Hunt Cup off same mark but needs to come down in handicap.

Hangover Square (IRE) With Richard Hannon in juvenile days and prolific winner in Sweden; best form over further and looks on a stiff mark.

Baaridd Decent juvenile but has so far failed to sparkle this term; best watched.

Duke of Modena Landed competitive handicap over C&D last September but best form with more give in ground.

Muchea Has been knocking on the door this term (good 3rd in Royal Hunt Cup) but has been raised accordingly and is thoroughly exposed.

Orientor Progressive handicapper who landed valuable York sprint in June; ran well from poor draw in Group 3 latest and stays this trip; no forlorn choice.

Hurricane Floyd (IRE) Unlucky sixth behind Mozart in Jersey Stakes; lightly-raced and capable of further progress; has solid claims under Kieren Fallon from stall 2.

Ho Leng (IRE) Fairly treated but on long losing sequence and hard to fancy here despite ground being in his favour.

Camberley (IRE) Ran fair race behind Atavus in Bunbury Cup latest (4lb better for four lengths) but looks weighted up to very best.

Atavus Just 4lb higher than when easy winner of Bunbury Cup latest; goes well on straight tracks and likely to make bold bid; not out of it.

Zucchero Incurs 3lb penalty for competitive handicap success at Newbury last weekend; goes particularly well at this time of year and can't be discounted.

Peartree House (IRE) Largely inconsistent and now 8lb higher than when winning at York; may struggle.

Proceed With Care Ground/trip ideal for this well regarded colt who ran up to his best latest; good apprentice claims 3lb; chances.

Moon Parade (ARG) Scandinavian raider who has not won for two years; difficult to assess.

Amaranth (IRE) Loves fast ground and narrow winner over this trip at Newcastle latest (now 4lb higher); more needed here.

Cantina Best served by fast ground and was value for more than Ayr success would suggest but now 7lb higher.

Royal Artist Showed return to form for first-time blinkers latest but overall form profile suggests that he will struggle here.

Jedeydd Very lightly-raced and open to further improvement but lacks experience for this type of event.

Swift Dispersal Has been out of form since scoring at Sandown in May; appears badly treated.

True Night Easy winner at Leicester earlier this month but only 1lb better for two-length beating behind Zucchero latest so looks up against it.

Needwood Blade Closely matched with Atavus and Camberley on recent Newmarket form; versatile regarding trip and can be given an each way chance.

Velvet Glade (USA) Escapes a penalty for latest success but likely to struggle at this level.
