      Verdict

      Prince Charming landed a gamble when scoring on his debut and can go in again. The main dangers look to be Cornus, Next Time Around and Alpaga le Jomage. The selection overcame greenness to overcome his rivals at Kempton but displayed plenty of good qualities in doing so and should be that much smarter this time around. Cornus has done nothing wrong in two starts so far and will lack for nothing in terms of being streetwise. He won at Newmarket last time with, Next Time Around, now two pounds better off at the weights, two lengths behind him. The Brian Meehan-trained Alpaga le Jomage is sure to improve for his good Newmarket debut and looks set to go well. Bold Marc won an average Musselburgh maiden last time while connections have stated that six furlongs is already needed for their ready Nottingham winner Alvarhino Lady. Norcroft also won well at Nottingham but, being bred for longer than five furlongs, might just find the winner's basic speed too much to handle in the closing stages. In conclusion then, the nod goes to Prince Charming.
