    Verdict

Mainstream caught the eye finishing strongly in a Newmarket handicap but isn’t one to rely on while Appeared was an impressive winner of a course and distance handicap last month but may struggle to follow up off a significantly higher mark.In a fiercely competitive race, preference is for the latter's lightly-raced and unbeaten stable companion WADIGOR. He took a modest looking Kempton handicap with ease on his seasonal return and has plenty of improvement to come. Sixties Groove ran well at Epsom over a trip that was short of his best and also has strong claims and it would be no surprise to see Top Tug make the frame. Both Star Storm and Knights Table ran well in a Listed event over course and distance and have solid place claims while Soldier In Action and Eddystone Rock are in form but look short of this class. Desert God is a reserve but disappointed in Dubai in January and has questions to answer on his return if making the line-up.
