Verdict

A tough contest to call here for punters with many of the contenders closely matched. However the main protagonists look to be Premier Estate, Icared'Oudairies, Bell Lane Lad and Going Global and the tentative vote goes to Bell Lane Lad. The gelding from the Alan King yard won well at Uttoxeter when defeating General Gossip before being a disappointing favourite last time. However the ground was very holding on that occasion was very holding and he will be much better served by this faster surface so he could be the value bet in an open race. Premier Estate rates the main danger as he has won his last two races in the style of an improver and he remains at the right end of the weights despite his penalty. Icare d'Oudairies is also in good form but he gave the impression he may just be in the handicappers grip when second behind Emphatic last time so for that reason he is opposed. Going Global was a good second behind Perouse last time and that rival has since franked the for form so he could go well despite top weight. Of the remainder Capriolo is from a yard in form and is worth noting in the market but we are happy to side with Bell Lane Lad.
