Verdict

LORD NORTH may well be a Group horse in the making having won the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket last month with something to spare. He handled soft ground when making a winning debut last year and is preferred to stablemate Kick On, a Group 3 winner at Salisbury in August. Amedeo Modigliani has plenty of scope with a recent comeback in Listed company under his belt while Clon Coulis is back on testing going for the first time since beaten a neck in the Royal Hunt Cup over track and trip in June when finishing in front of stable companion and recent 7f winner here, Kynren. There was cut in the ground when Biometric won the Britannia over track and trip during the summer while Coolagh Forest drops back down in distance after winning at York and will handle the going better than Escobar while the reserve Fifth Position has plenty to find with the selection. Glen Shiel is at home in testing ground and could go well at a price.
