A big field for this Group 1 sprint and several look to have solid claims. Bated Breath beat the race-fit Sole Power by a neck on his reappearance at Haydock but did get first run on his rival that day. The forecast good to soft ground could also be a problem here and it would be no surprise if Edward Lynam's consistent sprinter reversed the form if a high draw doesn't prove a disadvantage. Spirit Quartz looks held on Haydock running but it would be no surprise if stablemate and last year's winner Prohibit bounced back to form despite finishing behind Ortensia in Dubai in March and Wizz Kid at Chantilly earlier this month when the three-year-old Stepper Point and Hamish McGonagall were also ahead. Tangerine Trees won last year's Prix l'Abbaye and will be all the better for his run behind Bated Breath at Haydock but we shouldn't underestimate Hong Kong raider LITTLE BRIDGE. He was behind Joy And Fun over 6f at Sha Tin in February but in front at the furlong pole and duly obliged back over 5f there in April. Never in any danger in a Group 2 subsequently, Danny Shum's six-year-old has terrific speed and won't mind the ground so gets the vote.
