Previous results

In depth

Formwatch

Medicean High class individual. won on his reappearance in the Lockinge at Newbury on unsuitable ground. stable won this last year, and he looks the one to beat.

Arkadian Hero (USA) Useful performer at his best, behind Medicean at Newbury and yet to convince at this trip

Fanaar Winner of a couple of minor events, has a bit to find with a few of these, so easily passed over

Island Sands (IRE) Winner of the 2000 guineas in 1999, seemed to lose his way afterwards. Confidence booster in a soft event at Haydock, likes to race with the pace, should give a good account if back to his best

Mull Of Kintyre (USA) Won the Gimcrack at 2, been off the course since finishing 4th in the breeders cup juvenile at Gulfstream that year. Fitness not in question, should give a good account

Shibboleth (USA) From a yard whose runners at this meeting deserve the utmost respect, finished half a length behind Medician in last years St James Palace stakes here, would have a chance on that run. Did not have to be at best to beat Father Thames in minor event at Newmarket. Respected

Swallow Flight (IRE) Tough and genuine performer, 3rd in this event last year behind Kalanisi, certain to run well, each way chance

Umistim 6th in last years 2000 guineas, looks up against it here

Valentino probably at his best on top of the ground. Several useful performances last term, notably when 2nd to Giants Causeway in the St James Palace Stakes . Easy winner of a small event at Leicester, should have done his confidence good

Golden Silca Tough mare, well beaten in this event last year, looks up against it here
