Last month’s Stratford winner Enzo D'Airy was only third when favourite next time at Chepstow but the fourth has won since. Editeur Du Gite was second over 2m3f here two runs ago but got outpaced over this trip next time at Newbury and may struggle to keep tabs on NUMITOR, who jumped well and made all for an easy victory at Ffos Las on his chasing debut. He is 7lb higher here but still receiving weight all round. Mack The Man was no match for Hitman at Ffos Las but that should have taught him plenty and the yard is in great form. Flegmatik’s run at Sandown at Sandown can be ignored as he was badly hampered and he is preferred to Sir Valentine at the weights.
