Verdict

This year's renewal is complicated by the threat of further rain as Yammos is the only one in the field to encounter cut in the ground and he looks up against it in this company. The fillies look to have a strong hand this year and Aidan O'Brien's Maybe is a leading contender. She made an impressive debut over 6f at Naas last month and a subsequent Listed winner has come out of the race, but FALLS OF LORA makes more appeal. She left the rest of the field toiling in her wake over 7f at Doncaster a fortnight ago and if taking another step forward here, the Godolphin filly will take some beating. Esentepe has also shown plenty of pace, but Richard Hughes prefers stablemate and Haydock runner-up Fort Bastion, though Telwaar could prove best of the colts after winning in good style at Doncaster last time. He'd finished behind third-placed Singalat at Leicester earlier and the latter is not easily dismissed on that evidence.
