Verdict

This is no time to desert FRANKEL as the unbeaten superstar seeks to make it nine from nine. The dynamic 2000 Guineas winner demolished Canford Cliffs in the Sussex Stakes in a manner suggesting the colt has developed into a more relaxed, mature individual and the only possible negative is that he's been on the go since winning at Newbury back in April. However, he remains hard to oppose on all available evidence. Excelebration has enjoyed an excellent season and his latest success in France was achieved with the minimum of fuss and in the style of an improved performer, although it's hard to compile a convincing argument as to why he should reverse Royal Ascot form with Frankel, especially as the latter was arguably not at his best that day. Immortal Verse has developed into Europe's top three-year filly over a mile and success in the Coronation Stakes before toppling Goldikova with a degree of comfort at Deauville last time read extremely well should the favourite fail to deliver.
